As an adolescent, I was curious and fascinated by structural designs, and often crafted structures using limited resources, such as sticks, stones and papers. Given my strong interest in structural design, I decided to fully immerse myself in the field and pursue architecture as a major. Since graduation in 2005, I have been working in the field as an independent architect and utilize a client-centered approach in my designs. I have also developed strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills, which serves my clients and their needs. My first project after graduation consisted renovating our residential house with the limited resources due to shortage of materials and time constraints. For example, within one week, I was able to implement my conceptualization by creating a space that fulfilled our families’ desires and needs. Most recently, my projects have entailed designing medical clinics that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also create a sense of comfort for patients. Through a client-centered participatory approach, I aim to incorporate my clients’ visions into practice.
